First Day Back!

Emma is back in preschool and Josie is in the toddler class this year. Addie is in nursery. I asked Josh to take some pictures of the girls on their first day back to school. I was assuming there would be one normal one, but clearly that was too much. Ha! :)

Claffey Family Reunion

Almost two weeks ago my mom's family (the Claffey's) had their reunion at my Uncle Jim and Aunt Pat's house on Thompson Lake. We always have a great time. Again, Josh was unable to make it, but he was missed by all.
Here is Josie checking out the pinata.

Emma is pulling with all her might.

Addie fussing and my dad being hilarious as usual. :)

This is my cousinsTamara and her husband Nicolas with Me and Addie's ear.

Me, Josie, Emma and Addie just chillin. Actually, that would be appropriate, because it was kind of cold that day. :)

Update on Addie's health

I thought since so many people have been asking about her, I would tell you all that I know about Addie right now. Friday we were able to take her to the U of M and have her tested for allergies. As we thought, she was allergic to dairy and eggs. I had to stop nursing her immediately and she was put on a soy based formula. (she was also tested for wheat and soy allergies, but passed those.)
Monday we went back to the hearing clinic and she failed her hearing tests again. The average 7 month old hears at about at 20 (I have NO idea what that means) but she is at 45. Her ear drums are not flexing like they should due to fluid built up behind them. We are waiting on our referral to an E.N.T. to see whether or not surgery is necessary.
Lastly, Addie has had (at least two that we know of) these "spacing out" episodes where we cannot get her out of by shouting, clapping and waving in front of her. She doesn't even respond to touch. We had to shake her to snap her out of one episode. I have talked with her doctor and we are keeping an eye on it. It of course is a concern to us. We would greatly appreciate your prayers. Thank you all for caring for us and being such great friends/family. :)
Here is a cute recent picture of Addie asleep in my arms. :)

Guess Who is 2?

Somebody had a birthday today...
She started out looking like this, well at about 20 weeks...

Then when we brought her home from the hospital she looked like this...

After her first precious year of life, and a fun celebration she looked like this...

Did you guess right? It's Josie of course!

Our little Josephine Laura has turned two today. Each day she has been around has been a sweet reminder of God's love for us. She has blessed and enriched our lives more than we could have ever dreamed. Thank you Lord for the precious gift Josie is.

Update on Grandpa

My Grandpa's surgery went really well. Thank you all for praying for him. Oh, and because I can't seem to post without a picture, here is a picture Josh took back in 2005. Any guesses as to where this is? I know some of you know. First one right gets a prize.

My Grandpa

Please pray for my Grandpa. Tomorrow morning he is going in for surgery. He has an aneurysm in his abdominal aorta. I don't really know what that means, except that it is not good. I will keep you updated.
Here I am trying to get a picture of my grandpa with me and Addie. With the combination on my wet hair (just went swimming) and Addie turning her head, I don't think it will win any awards. Ha!

More pictures of the Frazier picnic

I forgot to tell you that Josh was unable to make it, because he was getting ready for the incoming students. We all missed him.
Here is my Aunt Suzanne playing with Addie.

Frazier family picnic

Last Thursday we had an impromptu get together at my Dad and Mom's home. My cousin Justin and his new bride Sarah from CT. were in town, along with my uncle John from TN. It was a great time! I didn't get pictures of everyone that day, but here are a few. :)
Here is Josie playing with her great grandpa. Please pray for his health right now.

I love this picture. Addie looks like such a thug!

Student Leader Training

So Josh and the crew have made it back from the north country. :) I had him take the camera so I could post some pictures of what they did when they were up there. I get the camera back and there is only a group shot on in, and I don't even see him in the picture! He must have been the photographer.
If you get a moment, please keep our family in your prayers. This is an EXTREMELY busy time for us, and we are trying our hands at a couple new ministies now. The girls have remained flexable so far, which is very helpful.
Please also pray for all of these students. These are our future tribal missionaries!

Missing my hubby...

This weekend is the big student leader training trip up at the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Ma and Pa Mathew picked up Emma and Josie to have for a long weekend, and Josh, Addie and I got ready for our trip. The night before we were to leave, I got really sick. The next morning as we were deciding if I should go or not, Josh said "What would be worse, feeling sick up north, or feeling good at home?" We decided that I should stay, in case I got sick again.
Dad and Mom kept the girls another night while I got some rest. I am feeling great and wishing I was up there with him. That's okay though. I am glad that I have all my girls tonight. I sure missed Josie and Emma. They had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's though.
My cuties.
Leaving for the trip. I made him take the camera so I could post about the STP trip. :)

Just back from the Jackson County fair!

It was a crazy hot day, but we knew this was the only time we could go. Student leader training starts tomorrow at NTBI, so we are going to be busy, busy, busy!
We were really glad we went. Although we all sweat a ton, we had fun checking out all the livestock. Emma liked the horses the best and Josie liked the pigs and goats. My favorite was the ice cream! :)
Oh, there was a pig there that had just given birth to 16 piglets!!! Crazy! They were all so tiny and cute.
At the end of the evening we were caught in a downpour! I haven't seen it rain so hard in a long time. It cooled us all down though. We had a great time!
Here we are checking out the calves.

I told Josie to smile. :)

Emma making a weird face by the cows.

I guess they all wanted to make weird faces at me!

Crazy!

Okay, so after I posted the last pictures, I couldn't help but think how much Addie looks like the other girls. We didn't have a digital camera when Emma was this size, but here is a picture of Josie when she was Addie's age.
Josie looked a lot like Addie does now!

What do you think? They could have passed for the same kid! Who knew my kids would look so much alike I'd have to start identifying them by what was in the background? Ha! Just like my mother-in-law! :)

Wiped out

Addie was playing hard and fell asleep. Josh couldn't help himself and took some great shots. :)

After taking all these pictures of her, he had to wake her up and play, so I had to get a pic!
